Nairobi - Police on Monday morning gunned down four suspected gangsters whilst a colleague was wounded in a shootout in the plush Kyuna estate in Nairobi.
Police and witnesses speaking to Capital News said that the four were in the company of two others who were planning a robbery at a residential house in the area when they were confronted by police officers at about 10am.
Special Crime Prevention Unit (SCPU) Chief John Koki said the thugs were wanted in a series of armed robberies and murder in Nairobi and its environs but he did not make specific reference to any specific case.
