2 Indians held after huge cache of weapons found in a house in Nairobi

06 April 2016, 12:05

Nairobi - Police in Nairobi are holding two Indians suspected of trafficking drugs and illegal possession of firearms.

On Friday, the officers raided a house in Loresho Estate where they arrested 34-year-old Zahid Iqbal Akberali Alarakyai and recovered two bars of hashish.

They also arrested 44-year-old Rehan Kantilal Shah, who led them to another house in Eastlands where they recovered 10 guns and 2,032 rounds of ammunition.

Nairobi News reports that the weapons belonged to Shah.

This is amid reports that Nairobi leads in crime rates in the country with Daily Nation reporting that the most common crimes reported in the City are assault and general stealing.
