11 students injured in Kitui college terror scare

Kitui - Eleven students were injured in a stampede caused by barking dogs at the Kitui Teachers Training College on Monday night.
Police said the students thought the dogs were barking at terrorists who had attacked their college, and tried to escape.
Kitui County CID boss Shem Nyamboki said the institution was not under attack and that many students escaped without injuries, The Standard reported.

There have been false terror alerts in the town since Sunday night when police responded to calls that strangers had been spotted near Zombe Girls.
Police rushed to the scene only to realize that the reports were false.
