11 killed on New Year eve road accident

Nakuru - 11 people were killed and two others slightly injured on a New Year eve after a tragic accident involving a matatu, trailer and a bus at Salgaa on the Nakuru - Eldoret highway.

According to The Standard, the accident occurred after a 14-seater matatu hit a trailer from behind both bound to Nakuru before hitting a bus head on.

The 11 people who died were on the Matatu while the two who sustained slight injuries were a driver and passenger on the bus headed to Kitale. Ten people died on the spot while one passed on at Nakuru provincial hospital.
