MP charged over fraudulent land deal

Nairobi - Rangwe MP George Ogallo has been charged with fraud and forgery in a Nairobi Court, reports Capital News.
The legislator appeared before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Waweru
Kiarie Monday, where he denied allegations that he had defrauded a Nairobi businessman
Ogalo is alleged to have forged a document that was purported to have been issued by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) as regards a parcel of land belonging to a Benson Ritho Mureithi.
The report continues that the MP was released on a cash bail of Sh50,000 with the case set for hearing on January 24, 2014.
