Nairobi - Your relationship is headed a bad way if…
talk ill of each other
It is always a no, no talking about your
partner when they are not around. It gets worse when you do it when they are
around let’s say in family gathering and you are on a tell-all on what they did
this day and how it offended you.
It gets even worse when you now take it
out, not to your relatives but friends and colleagues.
Your relationship is headed a bad way if
you ridicule them and instead of trying to defend themselves they are just
quiet-that mean they are tired and what leads is that they are done.
If you have something to say to them, don’t
wait whereby they can overhear and have loud whispers with a person you know
they would not like their business told to. Deficiencies and dissatisfaction on
your part also apply hear-especially when a relative or friend visits and you
cannot help yourself.
avoid talking about issues
You are not the first. This has proven to
be most couples 101 conflict resolution; avoid it until it comes and bites you
in a bigger way in the end. You are headed for a disaster. This means, you
would rather get angry at each other but at the end of the day you solved it.
This means, build and improve on your communication the moment you spot that
you never get anywhere. Work on it while it is still young.
That is what most men do/ should do.
That is what most women do/ should do.
What you do not know is that most couples
don’t care and they ended up that way by presuming it was their right to
something from their spouse. This lack of appreciation, builds resentment and
frustration and a partner starts avoiding trying to please you. Then you
reciprocate until you all get in a mess of no longer discussing financial
issues, family issues, emergencies because mine is mine and is yours is yours.
Sort yourself out since you want to be the man of the house or since you want
to act like a woman.
