Nairobi - You are a small fish in an ocean, a Governor has told Moses Wetang'ula.
Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has told Ford Kenya leader Wetang’ula to forget the CORD presidential ticket, because he
doesn’t have the clout.
According to Lusaka, only the birds and trees listen to Wetang'ula during political rallies as he has nothing to offer the people.
" Some people need to be told the truth. Never in a million years will Wetang'ula be a Presidential candidate. He has nothing to offer CORD," he rebuked.
He said Wetang’ula is a minority in CORD and his Ford Kenya party is
more of a regional outfit compared to ODM, which is more established and
has networks countrywide.
" Let’s face it. Wetang’ula has remote or zero
chances of getting the CORD ticket. It is a tall order and it is good
to be realistic, rather than cheating ourselves,” Lusaka said.
leader Raila Odinga and Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka are CORD co-principals
seeking the ticket to face President Uhuru Kenyatta next year.
The decision on the next CORD candidate will be made in early 2017.
