Women have rejected my marriage proposals, laments Jubilee MP

17 August 2016, 12:53 Jackson Okata

Nakuru - A member of Parliament has revealed that he is not married because women have been rejecting him.

Emurua Dikir MP, John Ng'eno said that he is not yet married despite being an elected member of Parliament because no woman has accepted his marriage proposal.

Speaking in Sinendet, Kuresoi South constituency, Ngeno said that majority of women have been rejecting him because of his eye problem.

"Many people ask why I am still unmarried but what many don’t understand is that I have in the past proposed to four women who rejected my proposals,” said Ng’eno.

“Others rejected me because I was a charcoal burner and very broke,” he added.

The MP said that he will not marry until he retires from politics, because he wants to concentrate on responsibilities assigned to him by his constituents.

"I have been under pressure from many to get married but that will have to wait until I accomplish what the people of Emurua Dikir elected me to do,” he said.
