Why you should start eating raw food now

Raw food diets are often considered a vegetarian lifestyle. Foods eaten raw are mainly fruits and vegetables.
It is a known fact that popular food processing methods destroy the nutrients found in most fruits and vegetables. Most of the foods used to make raw food recipes have a higher nutritional value when taken raw. A good example is a carrot, which loses its antioxidants when cooked.
In addition, foods belonging to this food group also contain some digestive enzymes that are destroyed by heat, and hence rendering them inefficient in their cooked form.
Fruits and vegetables are mainly used to make fresh juice, which is very nutritious and easily absorbed to the body. Smoothies are another great way of preparing these raw foods, without forgetting the possibility of chopping them into a special bland to make a salad or food dressing.
These meals are often taken before or after meals in order to add to a healthy lifestyle, but it is still possible for you to live on them if you are on a health program such as natural detox or weight loss programs.
