Nairobi - The sight of Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko and Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru did not surprise many. But why did they?
The two are both interested in unseating Governor Evans Kidero from the Governor's seat come the 2017 elections and during a church service over the weekend they had a go at each other over who was more superior.
Deputy President William Ruto was the chief guest at the service at The
Mary Queen of Apostles Church that is in Dagoretti South Constituency,
represented by Waweru who was also the Master of Ceremony at the
Sonko insinuated that he was the better of the two and in a friendly exchange both stated they would go for the seat.
According to Jubilee sources though, the issue is threatening to go overboard as Sonko has been saying in private that he has already been chosen by President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto.
" Sonko is confident that the President and the DP are with him. He is telling people the ticket is his. That is not rubbing off nicely on other candidates.
Other candidates are Waweru, former Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru and former Devolution CS Anne Waiguru.
