Why Raila snubbed Uhuru speech?
31 March 2016, 21:30
Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga had been invited to the State of the Nation Address by President Uhuru Kenyatta but he did not appear. Why?
The CORD leader was expected to be in the visitors gallery at the National Assembly but did not make it.
As opposition MPs went on the rampage to disrupt the speech by the President, the CORD leader was instead in Samburu County.
" Today I visited Baragoi in Samburu County to meet ODM delegates and engage the public on issues of pertinence," the CORD leader's communications team stated.
The CORD leader had earlier not confirmed whether he would attend the speech.
