Nairobi - KANU looks set to join the Jubilee Coalition after key
leaders in the former ruling party attended the recent ICC thanksgiving rally
Former Secretary General Nicholas Biwott was in attendance
and it is reported that he was sent there by former President Daniel Moi to
Moi was not available to attend the rally.
It is understood that after the rally, there were talks held
between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Biwott and which mostly centered on the
KANU re-union with Jubilee.
“There have been talks about KANU joining Jubilee,” a source
privy to the discussion told News24.
“Among the issues on the table is that KANU supports
Jubilee. Whether it will be on coalition basis remains to be seen because the
chances of KANU dissolving to join Jubilee are zero, the source added.
KANU was one of the Jubilee partner parties in the 2017
