When a woman says 'we made it'

26 April 2016, 20:46 Shakila Alivitsa

Nairobi - When a man says it just know it is because he found that person he wants to spend the rest of his life with. If and when a woman says it, just know she has been roughing it in that relationship.

Women do not know how to be loyal because they do not know how to be loyal to the right person. They get whatever paid attention to them and think that it is okay to be with that person.

For example: Beyoncé is talking about her millionaire husband, whom she has made an empire with making more money and a child with but guess who is her biggest cheerleader; the women who is being frustrated left right and center by someone who has proved over and over again that he is not the right man for her.

Some foolish women are now telling themselves how they are about to get back with that ex she broke up with. ‘Let me call my ex because I want to get in formation.’ Let me slap you in the face because you are being stupid. It is at times like this that you realize the reason that marriage and relationships will never work for a particular generation-ours.

People are so lost with their idea of what they want, whom they listen to, and who they turn to for advice. We are all just confused.

We cannot even ask our parents for advice because they will be the first to tell you that it does not work because it did not work for them. If you are having a hiccup in your relationship, the parent is the one that tells you, ‘Leave that one, you can do better.’ Then when you are slowly coming of age they want to force a situation on you forgetting about all those people they helped you let go of. It is really a sad state when you do not have a mind of your own and cannot think for yourself when it comes to the things that you want.

A lot of women need to take a hard look at the people they are committed to. Before you tie yourself for a lifetime to them, just tell yourself that maybe they might not be it. Really! If you can walk away now before you have permanent ties, then do so. Do not get in formation to the wrong person and for all the wrong reasons. That is how you end up with bad relationships. Avoid bad relationships. That way, you will avoid bad marriages. It is that simple.

Don’t stick around in the former then act all surprised when the marriage is not working, ‘What did you think?’

As a woman, you enable a lot of things that take place in your life. It is always that simple. Don’t blame the person you are with years later like they forced you to be with them. They did not.
