What women expect while going out for the date

02 June 2016, 18:16 Shakilia Alivitsa

Nairobi - I am not saying that it applies to all but it is something to keep in mind especially if you are the one that asked. One women will be offended if you don’ t let her see the bill but most get offended when you pay your share and slide that thing across to her for her to raise the rest.

If you want her to take you seriously, you pay

At times it is not even the man that asks and when this happens, the woman pays unless you had a really good time and offer. I don’t know what your standard is but men that are serious pay for the dates and when she is your girlfriend, she will return the favor with gifts and whatever. Now, if you are not serious, you can ask her to pay and see how long until she figures out she does not need you and can do better.

Communication is really important

When a man texts me, I do not take five hours to figure out what to say; I text back. If he thinks that I am too eager, that is his problem, not mine. If I open communication and he acts like he has better things to do, then I will let him be and give him all the time he needs and he slips back to that zone he will never come out from. That is how it works with women that are serious.

You cannot say you are dating that woman seriously but after the date, she barely hears from you and when she does, it is like she is forcing the conversation. That is called mixed signals.

The dates need to be something she likes

I was at Brew Bistro this past weekend with my girlfriend and her boyfriend. A table away there was this couple; I swear we had stayed there for like five hours and the whole time, this two did not speak to each other. I am serious. They ate, drunk and when the guy went to the washroom, excused himself, sat back down and repeat. It was the weirdest date ever. I don’t know if she did not like it, the place or the man himself but it was just weird. Consult with your date on what she likes. Do not presume otherwise you will have an uncomfortable time.

Don’t start the ‘chill in the house’ shenanigans

I know the man in you will not be able to resist but at least try to show that you think of her in other ways other than that. It shows you respect her and actually just like her and want to spend time with her. When she is ready for that, she might be the one to let you know. Showing your hand too early may end up making you look like a jerk and disrespectful.
