What to do with your old mobile phone
06 October 2016, 11:21
A normal mobile phone has a lifespan of approximately 18 months, after which you can give it a new life through recycling.
Lead, copper, zinc, antimony and nickel are some of the harmful compounds found in old phones, and so poor disposal methods can be quite hazardous.
Currently, 85 per cent of phone owners do not recycle their old phones, and this leads to high levels of pollution.
Recycling helps reduce this risk, and even pays you back for disposing your mobile phone the proper way.
