Wetangula, Khalwale tell Raila to keep off Western Kenya
12 September 2016, 23:34
Ford - Kenya leaders Moses Wetangula and Bonny Khalwale have told CORD principal Raila Odinga to keep off the affairs of Western Kenya.
Speaking in a function in the area, the two said that is their ‘stronghold’ and Raila has no say in telling the people the way to go.
“I want to tell my friend Raila Odinga that this is Western Kenya and he has no right to tell our people what way to go. Our people have their leaders. Keep off Western,” Khalwale said.
This came after Raila visited the area and asked residents to vote for in a ‘six-piece’ formula in the 2017 elections.
This was a call for locals to vote ODM aspirants in all the positions.
The two dismissed the voting.
Wetangula asked residents to elect Ford Kenya aspirants.
The development might sow seeds of discord in the Opposition where Wetangula, Raila and Kalonzo are co-principals.
