Nairobi - Whatsapp, Facebook and Twitter were awash Wednesday with news that Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula had been involved in an accident and was badly injured near Naivasha.
However, to clear the rumours, his personal assistant Kachu Sisungo has come out boldly to clear the air, saying: "CORD Co-Principal who is also the Senate Minority Leader and Bungoma County Senator Moses Wetang’ula was NOT involved in any accident and has NOT visited any hospital for any check up contrary to some FALSE social media reports.

"He is well, up and about and doing his work of representation, legislation and oversight. As I write this now, the leader is in the Senate Chamber and you can watch him live on KBC.
He further said the perpetrators of the rumours "must be agents of our detractors who have tried all means to cause confusion, pain and disturbance to the Senator’s supporters."
