Wetangula accuses CORD coalition partners of witchhunt

10 August 2016, 17:36

Bungoma - Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has accused unnamed some partners  within the  cord coalition  for treating him with suspicion.

On his Twitter page, Wetangula said that the recent media bites against him are engineered  by members of the coalition who are threatened by his presidential candidature.

"The endless media bites against me by a partner party in cord are self defeating and unhelpful. We founded cord. There are no invitees!!", he tweeted.

The Senate minority leader also called on the cord coalition partners to take competition as a way of promoting democracy and not enmity.

”There are those in cord who think that bastardising fellow leaders will give them advantage. Far from it.It doesn't help to brand Weta or any other leader a mole or rocking cord because he said something uncomfortable to you. Unity isn't uniform!", he said.

Wetangula's remarks is likely to cause further discord within the cord coalition as coalition principals battle on the method of choosing its presidential flag bearer.
