Western Kenya MP dumps Jubilee Coalition

Nairobi - An MP who has for long supported the move by Luhyas into the
ruling Jubilee Coalition now says that he is not a part of the newly formed
Ayub Savula, who is the Lugari MP, says that he will support
a Luhya leader for the Presidency come the 2017 elections.
He says that plans to form a third force to prop up the Luhya
community are underway and that he will support whoever is chosen to be the
flag bearer for the 2017 elections.
“I have worked with the Jubilee Coalition since 2013 but now
is the time to have a Luhya leader take charge,” he stated.
He added that he was still of the opinion that President
Uhuru Kenyatta has done well for the country but the opportunity to have Luhya
unity was too good to turn down.
“The plans are already underway to seek Luhya unity and they
will be unstoppable,” he added.
Senior leaders in the region are said to be on board with
the idea of the Luhya unity and it remains to be seen whether the theory will
