Nairobi - We won't support any presidential candidate says Ruto.
According to Bomet governor Isaac Ruto, the Party will field candidates in all elective posts excluding the president post. "We will remain an independent party,We will field candidates from MCA to governor's position but allow our supporters to vote for their preferred presidential candidate," said Ruto.
Speaking in Eldoret, Ruto said plans are under way to open party offices in Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet counties. "We want our party to be national, we want to expand our roots to other parts dunce it has been deemed a Bomet party" he said.
He however call upon politicians to avoid divisive politics and instead preach peace and unity. " Divisive politics should be avoided at whatever cost as Kenyans need to remain united and peaceful before on or after elections," he added.
The Bomet governor faulted the move by Jubilee government to dissolve affiliates parties that formed the Government terming ut as a threat to democracy."As Mashinani Party we condemn that move with strongest terms possible, why are they bulldozing people to join the party, is there something they are hiding. This is denying Kenyans the right to join party of their choice, " he said.
