Nairobi - Two members of Parliament from the Rift valley region have vowed not to join Jubilee Party ahead of the 2017 general elections.
Kuresoi South MP Zakayo Cheruiyot and his Emurua Dikir counterpart Johana Ngeno said that they will not join the party as the Deputy President William Ruto failed to consult them during the formation of the party.
"We founded URP party but Ruto decided to dissolve it for his personal gain and we will not join the party. We will defend our seats using Chama Cha Mashinani," said Cheruiyot.
The two leaders spoke in Bomet County during the launch of the Isaac Ruto's Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party.
The Bomet governor launched his party in what is seen as irreparable differences with the Deputy President William Ruto.
