Kakamega - A Kakamega County MCA has said the youth in the County are not interested in a talk organized by Gatundu South MP, Moses Kuria.
According to Mahiakalo MCA Cleophas Malala, Kuria has a hidden agenda in his meeting with Kakamega youths on 10th of this month in Mumias town.
“The meeting is clothed in the drapery of mentorship talk or program, but his main agenda is to spread the message of disunity in this County.
“Kakamega County is not devoid of able mentors. We are not interested in the talk being fronted by Hon. Moses Kuria who has on several occasions in the mainstream media been cited as an agent of tribal profiling, ethnic cleansing and youth radicalization.

“It must be well understood that he as a leader has a jurisdiction and should be guided by mutual respect for others in leadership. The last thing I would like to see in Kakamega County is a panga wielding battalion of youths in the pretext of empowerment, something akin to what transpired in his own constituency in Gatundu,” Malala said.
The MCA urged Kuria to concentrate on the empowerment of the youths in his Gatundu Constituency instead of engaging in politics of hatred.
“I note with concern that several alcohol imbibing youths exist in his constituency yet he is in a rush to come and mentor youths in Kakamega County. Let him mentor those ones, give them jobs and let our leadership in Kakamega County discharge their mandate without undue polarization and radicalization veiled and disguised as mentorship,” Malala said.
