WATCH: 'Yesu ni sponsor'

27 June 2016, 19:36 Eugene Odanga

Nairobi - Kenyan gospel artist Jimmy Gait is back in the limelight once more, this time just like the last, for all the wrong reasons.

Despite having good intentions with his music, the gospel artist has of late been hitting the wrong notes, especially with Kenyans on social media.

It started off with his version of Adelle’s Hello, a few weeks after Dela released her internet breaking cover and shining a bright light on Kenyan music. Kenyans tore him a new one, some calling the track ‘disturbing’.

He has just released a new track called “Yesu Ndie Sponsor” (Jesus is the Sponsor) which seems to be headed in the same direction as his last release.

Despite this, his message is simple and directed to the youth in Kenya seeking the easy way out through “sponsors”.

Have a listen to the song here
