Waiguru's vindication will hurt you, Jubilee MP tells Uhuru

Nairobi - A Jubilee MP has told president Kenyatta that the move by EACC to clear former devolution Cabinet Secretary, Anne Waiguru of KES 791M fraud is likely to hurt him politically.
Kuresoi north member of Parliament, Moses Cheboi said that the speed at which EACC cleared Waiguru is suspicious and leaves a lot of questions to be answered.
Speaking Monday in Nakuru town, Cheboi advised Uhuru not to make the mistake of bringing Waiguru back to the government because it might cost him the Presidency in 2017.

"The public perception is that Waiguru was involved in the NYS scam and the way EACC has handled the case is questionable. The President must know that Waiguru's comeback to government will have serious implications on him," said Cheboi.
"Bringing Waiguru back to the government is like bringing a rotten fish into a basket full of good fish. It will spoil the whole basket," he added.
Cheboi blamed EACC for doing a shoddy job and bowing to external influence.
"The way EACC has handled Waiguru's case clearly shows that it is under some external influence and this is very wrong," he said, adding that Parliament will demand answers from EACC over the matter.
