Vehicle set ablaze by angry boda boda riders

Irate boda boda riders yesterday set ablaze a vehicle after it was involved in an accident at Riverside, along the Nyahururu- Ol kalou road.
The vehicle had hit a rider who was seriously injured before his colleagues turned on the driver who managed to escape.
The rider got a fractured hand was carrying a woman passenger and her two kids who escaped unscathed while the mother sustained injuries on her legs.
Confirming the accident, Nyandarua North OCPD Morris the victims were rushed to Nyahururu District Referral Hospital.
Asilah warned people against taking the law into their hands saying investigations have been launched to net those who torched the private vehicle.
He called on members of the public to volunteer information to police on those who could have been involved and urged the bodaboda operators to be sober.
“I am urging these boda boda riders to be sober when it comes to such incidences because even members of the public are not happy with them and their action.”
