Nairobi - The new Jubilee party seems to have taken shape after it emerged that the new party will be officially launched on the 4th of June this year.
According to TNA Nakuru county chairman, Harrison Muiruri, the united republican party (URP) and the national alliance party (TNA) will formally dissolve on June 4th paving way for the unveiling of the political vehicle president Kenyatta will use in seeking reelection in 2017.
Muiruri said that the Noah Wekesa led committee that is working on the formation of the new party is in its final stages of making the new party ready.
Speaking in Nakuru, Muiruri said that the party will be launched after the Madaraka day celebrations.
"The party is almost ready and the committee led by Noah Wekesa is in the final stages of its work and sooner than later the party will be unveiled," he said.
"What I can confirm is that URP and TNA will be dissolving formally on the 4th of June and all members will have no option than to join the Jubilee party," he added.
The new Jubilee party was supposed to be launched on the 16th of April but the plan was changed due to legal technicalities according to Muiruri.
