Nakuru - Two members of Parliament from Rift Valley want President Uhuru Kenyatta to appoint former Aldai member of parliament and cabinet minister Sally Kosgey as Secretary to the Cabinet, a position that is still vacant.
Kuresoi north MP, Moses Cheboi and his Bomet central counterpart, Robert Tanui said that Dr. Kosgey has a wealth of political and professional experience having served as head of civil service, minister and member of Parliament.
Speaking Monday at kuresoi town, the two legislators said that Rift Valley deserves the position.

"The position of secretary to the cabinet is still vacant since Kimemia left office and we feel that Sally Kosgey is the best person to fill it. She has the experience because she served in that position before and can handle the job. We want the President to see a potential candidate in her for that position," said Cheboi.
Tanui said that the appointment of Dr. Sally as Secretary to the Cabinet will bring balance between URP and TNA in the Cabinet.
"Some URP members felt shortchanged after the Cabinet reshuffle ... and the appointment of Sally will help kill the notion that TNA is benefiting more than URP in the Jubilee government," said Tanui.
The position of secretary to the Cabinet was left vacant after Francis Kimemia stepped aside on corruption allegations early this year.
