University lecturer in court over student rape

Nakuru - A university lecturer has been charged for raping his student.
The Egerton University Nakuru campus don was charged before a Nakuru Court. The offence was allegedly committed on September 2, 2016.
According to the charge sheet, Evan Ng’eno gave the student a lift on the material day. When they reached an area called Soilo, he drove into a thicket.
He asked the student’s HIV status and then forced himself into her.
The suspect was released on a KES 200,000 bond and a surety of the same.
The case will be heard on November 3.
