Nairobi - Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua will support President Uhuru Kenyatta during the 2017 General Elections.
Mutua has openly gone against the leadership of CORD principal Kalonzo Musyoka and has begun his own movement christened the Maendeleo Chap Chap movement.
And while on a visit to State House Nairobi Tuesday, he was unforgiving of Kalonzo and declared he would not work with leaders who were anti development.
" Some leaders in Ukambani have been in Government for many years and
they did nothing, allow me to ask of what use are they,?why should we
continue being leaders of poverty? We will work hard to enrich our
people through development," he said.
Mutua also held talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta where he convinced him to visit the Ukambani region soon.
The President will visit Ukambani counties Machakos, Kitui and Makueni during his three day tour from 19th to 21st May.
