Nairobi - A Jubilee member of Parliament has termed President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto as Kenya's biggest tribalists.
Kuresoi south MP, Zakayo Cheruiyot said that Uhuru and Ruto have perfected the art of tribal appointments where two tribes are taking the lion's share of all government appointments.
Cheruiyot said that the two have turned the government into a two-tribe outfit for the Kalenjin and Kikuyu.
Speaking Sunday in Salgaa town, the MP said that tribal appointments being made by the President have divided the country along tribal lines more than ever before.
"The talk of the country is that you are either a Kalenjin, Kikuyu or an alien and this is dividing the country because other tribes are being left out," he said.
He added: "The problem of tribalism in this country is being caused by the President and his deputy because they cannot be appointing from only two tribes to occupy positions and expect to unite the nation."
He called the two to change their tactics or face the wrath of the other 40 tribes that are feeling marginalised.
