Nairobi - A civil society group has said President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have lost touch with Kenya and Kenyans.
The Nakuru People Forum said that UhuRuto have completely fallen out of place with the happenings in the country.
Speaking Monday in Nakuru town, the group’s chairman Kamani Wa Iria said that the duo has failed in managing the country, something he said has led to rampant corruption in government.
He accused Kenyatta and Ruto of losing touch with Kenyans after they gained power.

“The President and his deputy ... seem to be living in a country of their own different from the one we are in. UhuRuto are unaware of what is happening in the country and that is why they cannot see the kind of corruption going on even in their own offices,” said Kamau.
He accused the two of being blinded by power and being controlled by close corrupt cronies.
“Power got into their heads and they flew to another country that is not Kenya. Things are being worsened by people around them who are manipulating and controlling things in government,” he said.
He said it is a misconception for Uhuru and Ruto to think they will be in power forever.
“They think they will be in power forever and that is why they are doing things the way they like but they should be told that Kenya and Kenyans are watching and 2017 is just a stone throw away,” he said.
