Nairobi - The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commision EACC has thrown out three of President Uhuru Kenyatta's nominees to the Cabinet.
Malindi MP Dan Kazungu was first to be refused clearance for appointment as Mining Cabinet Secretary.
EACC is also opposed to the appointment as PSs of Victor Kyalo ICT and Nancy Karigithu Maritime Commerce.
The three will be among seven nominees for CS and 21 PSs who will be vetted today by various committees of the National Assembly following their nomination by President Uhuru Kenyatta on November 24.
Whether the President will heed the call is another thing though, whilst MPs will still vet the three who will still appear before the various committees to vet them.
There were also several petitions against Devolution CS nominee Mwangi Kiunjuri but the were not signed and are thus null and void.
Those against Kiunjuri are unhappy with his past record as a public servant.
Kiunjuri will take over the in the spotlight Devolution Ministry vacated by former CS Anne Waiguru who was accused of laundering funds meant for the ministry.
