Nairobi - A member of parliament has accused President Uhuru Kenyatta of ‘secretly legalizing’ corruption in government.
Kuresoi south MP, Zakayo Cheruiyot said that the scale of corruption within government is a clear indication that President Kenyatta is unwilling to fight the menace and has instead legalized it.
Speaking Sunday at kuresoi town, Cheruiyot said that the President’s unwillingness to fight corruption in government has given powerful individuals room to heavily loot government.
“At this rate I can tell you that it is like the President has legalized corruption in government and that is why everybody is suffering from this corruption disease. The President and his government are totally unwilling to deal with corruption,” he said.

He added “it is wrong for the president and statehouse to defend certain cabinet secretaries who are implicated with corruption because that will give others a reason of also looting and it also portrays the president in bad light,”.
Cheruiyot called on president Kenyatta to declare publicly that corruption has been legalized in the country and return to office all ministers who were suspended on corruption allegations.
”if Waiguru cannot be suspended then what is the reason of suspending the likes of Ngilu and other ministers who were sent home, the president should return them to work immediately,” he said.
