Uhuru and I have no preffered candidates, DP Ruto assures jubilee supporters

Nairobi - Deputy President William Ruto has said that the Jubilee Party does not have any preferred candidates for any of the elective seats in the 2017 general elections.
Speaking when he presided over an interdenominational fundraiser for 18 Churches at Kaplelmet School grounds, Ruto said that president Uhuru Kenyatta and him, do not have nay preferred candidates and that they will not get involved in any aspirants campaigns until the nominations are over.
“The only vote I will come to seek from you is that of myself and President Uhuru Kenyatta. All those looking for elective posts will have to fight on their own because the president and I do not preferred candidates for any seats and the people you will give us after the nominations are the people we are going to work with,” said Ruto.
The Deputy President told residents they are the ones who will make the decision in the coming general elections.
“You have the votes and therefore you have the power to choose the leaders of your choice,” he said.
Ruto said all the aspirants eyeing various political seats in the 2017 general elections must present themselves and ask the electorate to support them.
“Those interested in any seat must present themselves to the people and seek votes. That is the nature of democracy which we believe in as Jubilee,” added Ruto.
