Ugandan musician marries Swedish granny, dumps her after getting to Europe

25 February 2016, 13:22 Godfrey Olukya

Kampala - A renowned Ugandan musician, Ronald Semawere alias Guvnor Ace shocked his fellow musicians and celebrities when he married a woman 50 years older than himself.

Their secret civil marriage reportedly took place a few weeks ago at district commissioner's office in Kampala after which they immediately flew to Sweden.

Most Ugandans learnt about the marriage after the couple had already flown out.

"Guvnor Ace did something which most of us cannot believe. He married a 75-year-old Swedish woman,'' said his colleague, upcoming singer Bob Kyagulanyi.

Kyagulanyi said the woman he married is called Mona Lisa and had plans to take Guvnor to Sweden.

But the latest news about Guvnor on Facebook say that he has abandoned the old woman and is now dating younger Ugandan women in Sweden.

The bitter old woman took to Facebook to vent her anger.

She posted: "This bushman is cheap and poor and the women he is going with are also cheap. This Guvonr Ace just used me to come to Europe."

A friend of Guvnor in Sweden, Thomas Agule posted: "The woman is too old for my friend. He has met girls his age and abandoned the grandmother for his new 24-year-old lover."
