Two MPs quit KANU, join Jubilee

Nairobi - Two MPs have quit KANU and joined the Jubilee Party ahead of the 2017 General Elections.
The two are Kuresoi North MP Moses Cheboi and Belgut's Erick Keter.
They have both agreed to join the Jubilee Party and dump KANU which has insisted it will not dissolve to join the new party.
This follows a series of meetings between the DP and the MPs who had been against jumping ship.
" I am looking out for the best interests of my people and if they lie in Jubilee, then so be it," Keter told News24 on phone.
The move will be a blow to KANU, which has seen a number of its MPs seeking a way out of the opposition.
Just a few days ago West Pokot leaders, who were also part of KANU decamped to Jubilee.
