Nairobi - Two people have been reported killed after heavy floods pounded parts of Naliri town over the past few days.
A 40 year old woman was killed after she slipped and drowened in the swollen river Bagaria on Saturday evening.
Beatrice Kwamboka was swept away by the heavy floods on her way to pick her visitors from Mauche trading center.
Her body was retrieved later Sunday morning three kilometers away.
In a separate incident an unidentified man drowened when he tried swimming in a swollen dam at the Rose flower farm in Naivasha.
The man believed to be a worker in one of the flower farms in Naivasha was found dead inside the dam with his clothes on the edge of the dam.
Naivasha OCPD Titus Munywoki confirmed the incident saying that the man might have been overpowered by waters in the swollen dam as he tried to swim.
Nakuru like other parts of the country is experiencing heavy rains which have caused flooding in most residential areas living thousands homeless.
