Two die in Nyeri road accident

Nairobi - Two people have died following a grisly road accident which involved a lorry and a motorcycle at King’ong’o-Mweiga junction near Nyeri town.
The two middle-aged men died when a lorry which was taking a route of Mweiga from Kiganjo hit motorcycle.

The rider died on the spot while his passenger died on arrival to a nearby hospital during the midday incident.
Central Boda Boda Association chairman, Charles Ndegwa said it was unfortunate that driver of the lorry ignored the motorcycle to pave way for incoming cyclist.
Irked local residents threatened to torch the vehicle but police arrived and took control of the situation.
The lorry was towed to Nyeri Central police station.
