Trouble brewing over who will use Uhuru Park

Nairobi Trouble is brewing over the Uhuru Park venue over who will use it on June 1.
The opposition had indicated they will use the venue for their parallel Madara Day celebrations on June 1 as President Uhuru Kenyatta lead the nation for the official celebrations in Nakuru.Police then informed the opposition that the venue had been booked by an interdenominational body for prayers from May 31-June 3.
It has since emerged that the prayers are organised by Radio presenter Evangelist Lucy wa Ngunjiri. On Saturday, the Nairobi County Government, however, cancelled Ngunjiri's booking for the venue saying that she paid for the venue at a time when it had already been booked for another function, apparently the opposition rally.
Social media users leaning to the Jubilee government have accused Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero of hatching a plot to frustrate the evangelical team and in return give the venue to the opposition. Kidero belongs to the opposition party, ODM, on which he was elected Nairobi Governor.
