Nairobi - The Tinga Tinga Tales is an animated series
for children which aired on national TV for quite some time.
It sparked the
imaginations of millions of children across Africa, making it one of the best
kids programs to come out of Kenya. The tales have for the past month taken up
a life outside of the TV screen in the form of a musical, directed by its
creator Claudia Lloyd, produced by Sheba Hirst, Choreographed by Mkamzee
Mwatela, dressed by Kiko Romeo and musically directed by none other than Eric
What started off as a musical aimed at
children ended up being a hit among grownups as well, with the show selling out
on back to back nights. It was so good that it had to be extended by a few more
days due to public demand, now playing on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th with shows at 3pm and 6pm on each of these
It has a strong cast including Eric Wainaina (Monkey), John Sibi-Okumu
(Lion), Iddi Achieng (Hippo), Elsafan Njora (Tortoise), Elton John (Chameleone)
and Phy (Giraffe).
Don’t miss out on the fun.
