Time for Raila to retire, ODM MP says

Nairobi - A rebel ODM MP says it is time for CORD leader Raila Odinga to quit politics.
Nakuru Town west MP Samuel Arama told News24 in Nairobi that the rebellious nature of leaders within the opposition in the last couple of months shows that he has lost the ground he once had.
He says that for Raila to resign will be the only solution to the problems facing ODM.
" When I started complaining about ODM, they said I was a lone ranger. Now see what is happening," he stated.
He termed the problems in ODM as endemic.
" The problems never end in ODM. They are the same old ones and the only way to eradicate them is for Raila to leave,' he added.
Arama has openly worked with the ruling Jubilee Coalition in recent times and says that he will not stop as long as his people's lives are improving.
" I am here because I serve the best interests of my people. That is first and foremost and will always be the main concern for me," he added.
He has already stated that he will look to retain his seat come 2017 on a Jubilee Party ticket.
