Three released on a bond of Sh.1.6 M

Nakuru - Three men were today released by a Nyahururu court on a bond of Sh 1.6 million for engaging in bhang selling business.
Martin Waigwa, Albert Maina and Francis Maina Gitau denied the charges when they appeared before principal magistrate peter Ndege.
The court heard that on June 30,this year along Nyahururu- Nakuru road the three accused were transporting eight brooms of bhang in a Toyota car KAA385Q worth Sh 80,000.
In their second count Maina and Gitau were accused of helping Waigwa to transport the eight brooms of bhang.
The two were released on a bond of Sh 600,000 and a surety of a similar amount.
In Waigwa’s second count the court heard that on June 30, this year at Shamanei village Laikipia County he was found in possession of 250litres of kangara by the police on patrol.
The court also said that they had six witnesses who will appear before court.
He was released on a bond of one million and a surety of a similar amount for the two counts.
Their case will be heard on July 14 this year
