Three people killed in motorbike accident

Nairobi - Three people have died following a road accident involving two motorbikes at Kangu location in Mwea, Kirinyaga County.
The motorcyclists were traveling to opposite directions along the Mwea-Embu road.
One of them was trying to overtake a lorry before colliding with the other one, which had a passenger, head on.
The trio died on the spot.
Traffic police officers arrived at the scene and towed the wreckage of the motorbikes to Wanguru traffic base while the bodies were taken to Kibugi mortuary.
Residents said the area was notorious of road accidents as they urged the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) to erect bumps to curb the accidents.
