Tear gas? No problem, Raila says

Nairobi - CORD will protest until the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision IEBC is disbanded, CORD leader Raila Odinga has said.
The CORD leader, speaking at his Capitol Hill offices Nairobi in the aftermath of the failed protest march to IEBC headquarters Monday states that the protests will not end until the body is disbanded.
" We are not going anywhere. They can bring tear gas and armed officers but the will of the people will always prevail," he said.
Of the tear gas lobbed by General Service Unit GSU officers, Raila said that he did not mind it and that it would not chase them away from the streets.
" This country has been through alot. Tear gas will not change history and the feelings of Kenyans," he added.
The CORD leader says that there are ongoing consultations of how to deal with what he terms as the IEBC menace in the coming days.
