Tame your Deputy or lose our votes, Rift Valley MP tells Uhuru
28 September 2016, 16:36
Nairobi - Emurua Dikir Member of Parliament Johana Ng'eno has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to stop Deputy President William Ruto from hurling insults against elected leaders in the region.
Ng'eno said that if the President does not tame Ruto, then the Rift Valley residents will not vote for him in the 2017 general elections.
“Uhuru should tame Ruto or else he forgets our support. He has been abusing elected leaders who do not subscribe to his school of thought”, he said.
Ng'eno accused the Deputy President of demeaning elected leaders in the region saying that such behaviour does not befit the office of the Deputy President.
“He should stop the arrogance and learn to respect elected leaders, he should not coerce us to join Jubilee Party”, said the legislator.
The legislator is among those that have been critical of the Deputy President's leadership in the region.
