Swallow your pride and reconcile with Moi, MP tells DP Ruto

16 March 2016, 11:01 Jackson Okata

Nakuru - Deputy President William Ruto has been urged to swallow his pride and reconcile with Baringo Senator and KANU chairman Gideon Moi for the sake of unity of the rift valley people.

Nakuru town west MP, Samwel Arama said that Ruto should stop seeing Moi as an inferior political force and seek reconciliation with him because he will need his support in 2022.

“The DP should simply swallow his pride and reach out to Gideon Moi and make peace with him. Let him stop feeling overly superior over other people because he will need them at some point,” said Arama.

He added: “He should stop chest thumbing and listen to the dissenting voices in rift valley because they can easily bring him down.”

Arama’s comments came after reports emerged that DP Ruto turned down efforts by religious leaders who were organising a reconciliatory meeting between him and Moi.
