Surrender all illegal guns, Commissioner tells criminals
31 December 2015, 12:02
Nyeri - Nyeri County Commissioner, Onesmus Musyoki has asked any criminal in Nyeri who is holding an illegal gun to surrender it immediately to the authority.
Musyoki said that police have launched a manhunt for those terrorising residents with illegal guns and very soon they will be arrested and prosecuted.
“We know there is one gangster who stole a firearm from a Nyeri businessman recently. He better return it since that robber is not a licensed firearm holder like that businessman who lost it. Such a firearm can bring a lot of trouble if that suspect is not nabbed immediately,” he said.

He said police will work round the clock until the man arrested and firearm recovered.
The commissioner added that the security will be beefed up in all corners of the County.
“Those stealing coffee and even those colluding with thieves to steal coffee of the poor farmers will not be spared either,” he said.
Musyoki added that the bar operators flouting rules and regulations will be arrested.
