Nairobi - Water Cabinet Secretary, Eugene Wamalwa's bid for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat has been boosted after 18 MPs from Western Kenya endorsed his bid.
The MPs Tuesday night in a dinner meeting at Wamalwa's house in Nairobi unanimously agreed to back the CS.
The lawmakers led by Jubilee party Deputy Chief whip Benjamin Washiali who is also the Mumias East MP said President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto must back Wamalwa to unseat Kidero.

"Through the two supporting Wamalwa for the Nairobi Governor seat, then selling Jubilee in Western Kenya will be much easier," Washiali told News24.
Also present at the meeting were 65 MCAs from Nairobi County who reassured Wamalwa of their support in 2017.
