Bungoma - Ford Kenya Party leader, Moses Wetang'ula has yet again called on ODM leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper party counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka to support his presidential bid in 2017.
Speaking during a Ford Kenya delegates meeting at Nzoia Sugar Company's guest house, Wetang'ula said he had the experience and passion to lead this country.
"When I announce my bid to be the CORD's presidential candidate, it does not mean that we are enemies. In fact, we are great friends and we must fight for the bigger seat. I am the best candidate in the coalition," he said.
He continued: "What is important is to stick together. If CORD disintegrates now, we will have let down Kenyans badly. I have supported you and it is time to support me. We have a committee that will oversee the nominations."
The Senate minority leader said that all Principals will remain together in CORD.
"Support my presidential bid because we founded CORD together. We supported Raila and four years down the line, they should support my bid. We have stood with Kenyans and fighting for their interests. We will continue doing the same as we form the next government," said Wetang'ula.

Wetang'ula called on the Jubilee coalition to support the ongoing reforms at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. He insisted that people who can handle the next election with due fairness should be appointed to the commission.
"We need commissioners who will ensure that the next elections are free and fair. Let us speed up the IEBC reforms," said Wetang'ula.
He castigated President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto for "rushing" to launch development projects which are incomplete.
"They are on the charm offensive to hoodwink Kenyans that they are working yet the projects they are launching like the Chwele-Lwakhakha road has not taken off," he said.
The Bungoma Senator called on the government to put in place a credible electoral body.
He again criticised President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto for running a government that has failed to meet expectations of Kenyans.
"Chwele-Lwakhakha road has been launched so many times and DP Ruto is busy insulting every leader. We need working leaders not empty rhetorics," he stated.
Present were Bungoma County Ford Kenya Chairman Wafula Wamunyinyi, James Lusweti of Kabuchai, Ferdinand Wanyonyi of Kwanza, Gubernatorial candidate Wycliffe Wangamati among other party leaders and aspirants.
