Nyeri - Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has warned Kiambu Governor William Kabogo against giving Deputy President William Ruto conditions on 2022 presidential elections.
Kiunjuri said Kabogo was antagonizing Ruto in wooing Mount Kenya voters.
He said Kabogo’s remarks could easily annoy the Deputy President who worked hard to ensure the Jubilee government won the 2013 presidential elections.
“The Governor erred when he asked the Deputy President to produce a power sharing formula with Mount Kenya in 2022,” Kinjuri said.

He assured Ruto of total support from the Mount Kenya region saying that Kabogo’s sentiments should be ignored.
“We leaders from the region are united in supporting Ruto and we do not want anyone to antagonise him. Ruto did well to us and we must rally behind him in his bid for Presidency in 2022,” he said.
The Cabinet Secretary added that Ruto supported the region to produce the President in 2013 and voters from the central region together with leaders should reciprocate.
